Flames dwell in fire
Do more than just survive

Tempered by time
Conquered the climb
Atoned my crime
Respite in rhyme

There’s power in this story
My end has not yet come
What if my humble glory
Is a life’s work total sum

Pray
Stay
Obey
Get gray

Then I’ve done my job today.
