Hope

Hope during chaos
Focus in place of distraction
Courage under fire
Composure is required
Anger won’t bring satisfaction

Be open
Be brave
Be hope’s slave
And ride high on this blue wave

Hope requires faith
Faith is now accepting questions
Peace is an option

Government is not Religion or: Gross Misconduct

Jesus did not come as Caesar. What makes you think you change the world through politics?

Jesus wasn’t president. He didn’t get anywhere near the White House. He came through poor people who were refugees. He built things out of wood, a manual laborer. Oh, and he saved the world.
Donald Trump would have hired him and never paid the man.

The practice of Christianity is not a concern for what other people do. It is a concern for how you treat others. Jesus did not come to judge the world. He came to save it.

The purpose of law is love. (The Bible)

Try to rule others,
You fail. Love other people?
You will never lose.

It does not matter
If they wash away the spatter
There’s blood on their hands
And we watch from the stands
As Congress is getting fatter

When We

When they hate
We shall love

When they argue
We shall listen

When they act
We shall pray (and protest)

When they injure
We shall heal the whole world

When they kill
We shall inherit heaven

“When they go low,
We go high.”

They may torture my body, break my bones, even kill me.
Then they will have my dead body, but not my obedience.–Mahatma Gandhi

Progress in Congress?
Endless regress to nonsense.
Tax cut transgression.

White-collar version
Of looting and coercion–
Congressional bill

Congressmen make laws
For those who can foot the bill
With boots on our necks

Middle class kidnapped
Held ransom by Congress thugs
Don’t be/get taken

Enough!

I wish the MEDIA would stop saying things like “Trump just ruined another Obama legacy.”

NO! He didn’t. He’s ruining our legacy! The American people’s legacy! If he’s ruining anything, it is our collective history, achievement and future. If Obama did anything, he did it for the American people.

It’s not a matter of politics, partisanship or petty presidential problems. This is OUR country. And we are the only ones to save it.

Thank you, Obama, for whatever you did. For protecting things that needed protecting. But it is up to us, our House, our Senate, our nation to do the things we need to do to make the planet a better place. Climate, energy, conservation, kindness, patience, reason, rationale. And that’s not happening.

I believe the Senate will slowly be replaced with Democrats over the next 4-year period because of the damage Trump is doing to the Republican party. But it won’t be soon enough to stop these insane rollbacks, setbacks and f-ups.

This isn’t a Trump/Obama thing. This is a real people in the USA thing. Anything that’s happening is our collective responsibility.

We still hold the German people of the 1940s somewhat responsible for what happened in their country because, “What did they do to stop it?”

What have we done to stop this guy??

We are distracted by the cock while the fox is in the hen house!

The media IMO, overall, is doing a poor job at reporting the facts on both sides. Less opinion, please. It doesn’t help.

Troublesome

Cities on fire,
Sliding into the sea.
Countries bleeding
From Killing spree.

Forests catch flame.
Humans to blame.
Cars take aim.
Hate makes claim.

To every place your attention settles,
The world will so finely, kindly remind–
No matter where you travel,
Your searching eyes will Chaos find.

Students shot.
Violence wrought.
Journalists caught.
Fraught, taut, distraught.

Children attacked.
Homes blown apart.
Families destroyed.
Bombed-out, cut-up heart.

Crumpled on the ground,
Freedom is downed.
Goodness unfound.
Wicked abound.

With absolute certainty,
One thing I know,
Resilience from tragedy
Is something you grow.

Plant your feet.
Shout from the street.
Pull down the sheet.
Bring love where hate and evil meet.

If your crops are burnt?
If your shores are black?
If your bodies are dying?
We can’t go back.

We can only move forward with knowledge and the rejection of evil. We can no longer passively ignore the bullies of the world. To stay silent is to participate.

Rage Against

Dylan wrote about the dying of the light.
Rage against fading sight.
Don’t gently go into the night.
Keep those fires burning bright.
Right to the end.

And I say rage again.

Rage again at hatred’s wave.
Rage again at a black man’s grave.
Rage again at racist rave.
Rage again at the killing of brave.
To-bloody-day.

It’s not too late to turn around.
Our love isn’t buried in the cold, hard ground.
As humans, as Americans, as Christians–we’re bound
To breathe back life to Liberty drowned.
Now.

No man has a right to steal.
Our freedom under heavy boot heel.
I’d rather die than ever kneel
To pay for a politician’s shady deal.
You’re dying for money.

No man has a right to kill.
And Washington isn’t going to foot the bill.
This is no longer an exercise or drill.
This is the sound of the People’s will.
No more!

Rage against this political machine.
To do nothing is supporting the obscene.
It’s time for us to intervene!
Remember the words from 1634 Racine,
Malone (The Untouchables) asks,
“What are you prepared to do?”

Trumpster Fire

Dissidents kicked by decadence.
Moral luxury: unapproved expense.

Consider history, their time is small.
Just a few years, they won’t BE at all.

Gandhi, Lennon, Jesus said,
“Love will win.” Even IF we’re dead.

Don’t worry. Don’t waste. Vengeance divine.
Karma of Kismet says, “This one’s mine.”
