Girl Bye

You think I’m quiet
Powerless and weak
There is technically a difference
Between shy and meek

Meek is power
Under control
I choose to be this way
Restraint is my goal

Don’t mistake my silence
As consent to your little show
I’m also choosing to love you
Having patience before I go

And go I will.

God Loves/God Saves

2 Cor 12:9 NASB “…power is perfected in weakness.”

God loves the worst of sinners. Me.

Jesus came to save the world. Not judge it.
I can, at least, love it.

God doesn’t need anyone who’s perfect. Thank God.

You can’t argue with lies. Repeat the truth. And the devil will disappear.

Power in the Wire

There’s power in this wire
The line is still alive
Flames dwell in fire
Do more than just survive

Tempered by time
Conquered the climb
Atoned my crime
Respite in rhyme

There’s power in this story
My end has not yet come
What if my humble glory
Is a life’s work total sum

Pray
Stay
Obey
Get gray

Then I’ve done my job today.

Scars

Haiku

Scars are proof that once
You were sick. And now you’re healed
All shiny, slick, thick.

Scars shine in the light.
The bleeding’s done, no more night.
Morning’s torn, all’s right.

I don’t mind scars now.
Reminders of my power
To heal deepest hurt.

Won’t be seen again
I’ve been wounded deep within
Hold it back with skin

So Fracking Philosophical at 8 AM EST–Sorry

Christian or not, until we submit to the Power that created us, Universe or God (as long as we struggle against the nature of things?) we will only know strife and pain. If we submit to the higher power of God/Nature, we will become one with the everlasting.

Experience true peace and happiness.

To try and control that which we do not understand will bring inconsolable sadness and eternal, unquenchable desire.

It is futile to rail against the inevitable in pursuit of the inconsequential.

To misinterpret is human. To understand is divine.

We must embrace the overwhelming power of Creator and become Creature. It’s the difference between Heaven and Hell. And the difference between Languidness and Transcendence.

Trouble

I’ve heard some friends and bloggers talk about their weakness, illness or sadness today. I am praying for you. I hear you. God is by you. Do not despair.

Haiku for You

Thankful for trouble.
It teaches me endurance.
And hard times won’t last.

“Please, heal me, O Lord!”
He said, “Grace is sufficient.”
I embraced my ill.

Kingdom come! I’m weak!
His power is made perfect
When I require him.

Be patient. Hold on.
His perfect timing will come.
And trouble will go.

Amen.

House Full of Hope

My daughter, Pencil Princess, drew this awesome chair for me. Read the play to find out why the chair has wings. 🙂 Thank you, my Love. You’re my angel. I absolutely adore it.

My play is available on Amazon! It’s $9.99, but I’ll tell you why I did that. I had no other way of publishing and offering the rights to produce in one easy step. When you buy the script, there are no other royalties from that point on, unless you engage a lengthy run. Which doesn’t usually happen with shows unless they’re Hamilton or Cats, amirite? So $10 to put on a play about domestic violence to support abused women and children (and sometimes even men are abused by a partner) doesn’t seem like a lot. To me.

There are 13 women, 2 men and 2 children. Have you ever read a play with 13 women?? Snap! Well, it’s about time then. 🙂

These stories are drawn from real life. Some are mine, some are from others. Some are just things I’ve heard after years of listening to women tear out the hurt. Some are from the dark corners of my mind, gathered up like dusty cobwebs and spun back into a juicy web. It all comes from the truest place I know. I hope you agree.

Also, I would love some feedback! Please donate to your local domestic violence shelter. These women need all the help they can find. Thanks for reading.
